We need a State Senator who listens, asks hard questions, and fights for all of us
I’m so excited to share that I’m running to represent District 34 in the Rhode Island State Senate!
I’ve lived in Rhode Island all my life and have called this district home since 2013 first in Exeter and now Hope Valley.
I’m running because our rural communities deserve a fighter. We need a voice in the Statehouse that will stand up for affordability, government transparency, our environment, and the unique rural character that defines us. I’ve proven I can work across the aisle; as the only Democrat on a Republican Council, and now as Council President leading with civility and action.
On the Council, I’ve:
- Championed improving the Senior & 100% Disabled Tax Exemption, making sure our neighbors who need help most are supported.
- Supported grants to strengthen local small businesses, giving them tools to expand and thrive.
- Supported park and playground improvements, aquifer protection, ordinance reviews and government efficiency, school improvements balancing growth with environmental sustainability.
- Communicated with all levels of government, including boards, commissions and our state and federal representatives and hosted multiple public sessions to hear from residents.
- Opposed backroom tax deals that benefit the wealthy over everyday residents.
We need a State Senator who listens, asks hard questions, and fights for all of us, regardless of our political affiliation, from families struggling with childcare to seniors choosing between groceries and medication.
My vision for District 34 includes:
- Affordability for all Rhode Islanders
- Fair, high-quality education
- Support for small businesses
- Accessible healthcare
- Transparent, accountable government
- Protection of our environment and rural identity
There is much more to come! Stay Tuned!
